Job Title: Senior Managed Services Data Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Managed Services Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing data infrastructure solutions, with a strong background in Snowflake, Terraform, Scala, FiveTran, SQL, and Git. This role requires a proactive leader who can drive the development of efficient data pipelines and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Design & Implementation:
  • Develop and manage scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Snowflake and FiveTran to ensure efficient data integration and processing.
  • Design and implement data solutions that meet business requirements and support data-driven decision-making.
• Infrastructure Management:
  • Utilize Terraform to automate and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring robust and scalable data environments.
  • Optimize and maintain data infrastructure to enhance performance and reliability.
• Data Processing & Development:
  • Create and maintain data processing frameworks and scripts in Scala to handle large volumes of data and complex transformations.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to support data analysis and reporting needs.
• Version Control & Collaboration:
  • Use Git for version control to manage code changes and collaborate with other developers effectively.
  • Ensure code quality and consistency through peer reviews and adherence to best practices.
• Leadership & Mentoring:
  • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring successful project execution and completion.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members to ensure alignment and project success.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role, with a focus on managed services and cloud-based solutions.
• Proficiency in Snowflake for cloud data warehousing and data integration.
• Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud infrastructure management.
• Strong development skills in Scala for data processing and transformation.
• Experience with FiveTran for data integration and pipeline management.
• Advanced SQL skills for querying and managing relational databases.
• Solid understanding of Git for version control and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
• Knowledge of additional cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with other data engineering tools and technologies.
